ADDT'L INFO FOR BAREBOAT TRIPS:
GET A DISCOUNT WHEN you shop and pay for the food, buy the
fuel, buy your fishing licenses, and you do all the cooking and cleaning.
Everything else is provided including the Captain.
WHAT TO PACK:
Soft luggage or duffle bags are best. Keep in mind airlines normally
allow two checked pieces with no extra charge, so on your return home any
fish boxes will count as extra luggage.
The most practical method of dress for Alaska is "layering." Casual
dress is all you will need. Jeans, flannel shirts and fleece are good for
early mornings; a water resistant shell jacket for evenings/rain with
fleece underneath for warmth if needed. One pair of shorts and one
short-sleeve shirt will suffice for warmer days.
A rubber sole waterproof boot for the boat and walking in the woods will be
necessary. You may want to throw in a hat and a pair of gloves "just
in case."
Bring your camera, plenty of film, and batteries.
Cell phones work in most areas of Southeast Alaska.
However, reception is sometimes bad in inlets and coves. The Legend is
equipped with an emergency phone onboard, and personal phone calls may be
made from pay phones in villages if necessary.

HOTEL & AIRLINE INFORMATION:
If you are spending the night in Juneau
at any time, contact us for hotel recommendations. Some hotels have fish
freezing accommodations, plus Wings Air Cargo will freeze and deliver to the airport your boxes for $10
per day if you wish.
Hotels will provide pre-arranged transport to and from the dock. Alaska
Airlines is the only jet service for Juneau.
The best route is via Seattle.
